Whoa?! What Is Going On In These SPIDER-MAN Set Photos?
February 4, 2011Rama2 CommentsAndrew Garfield, Spider-Man

Via Holy Moly and theDailyMail, I had to pull myself together from laughing so freakin’ hard for the past few minutes before I could finally share these shots with you guys. These are the latest set photos of SPIDER-MAN reboot and at first glance you would think that Spidey for some reason has found himself in some.. compromising positions, he’s got some kind of codpiece on and apparently the stuntwork must’ve been quite difficult that he tore through his suit,..by the way, that suit looks like second skin if you know what I mean.
I guess he is very friendly neighborhood. Ha!
By the way, in case you’re wondering, yes, one of these Spideys is actually Andrew Garfield himself in costume in action on the set.. So what is going on here? Check out explanation after the jump and more photos..
MTV said this scene is about Spidey stopping a car burglar..
“The Spider Man Reboot films a scene involving a car burglar and two Spider-Man’s which both appear on camera. In the scene, Andrew Garfield in character as Spider-Man is hiding in the back seat of a car that a car burglar attempts to steal. The spooked thief exits the car to escape but is taken down by a second Spider-Man as Spider-Man number one (Garfield) watches the action through the backseat window. Both Spider man’s were also seen rehearsing a stunt together while covered in trench coats.”

Starring Andrew Garfield as the new Peter Parker, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy and Rhys Ifans as Dr. Curt Connors a.k.a THE LIZARD, Martin Sheen as Uncle Ben and Sally Field might play Aunt May, Denis Leary as George Stacy. Chris Zylka will play Flash Thompson
Campbell Scott and Julianne Nicholson will play Peter Parker’s parents who leave their son an orphan. Irrfan Khan (Slumdog Millionaire) will play Spidey’s 2nd villain, VAN ADDER who will be helping out The Lizard (Rhys Ifans) with his cause.
Annie Parisse will play Van Adder’s wife . Directed by Marc Webb from a screenplay by James Vanderbilt, polished by Alvin Sargent.
Laura Ziskin and Avi Arad will produce the film from Columbia Pictures and Marvel Studios
