Will Brian Kirk Direct THOR 2?

Nordic sequel awesomeness may be handled by a man who handled medieval fantasy awesomeness. As you now, Kenneth Branagh who helmed the first Thor movie, isn’t scheduled to return for the sequel. Today, Variety said Brian Kirk, who directed several episodes of one of my favorite HBO series, Game Of Thrones is in talk with Disney-Marvel, to direct THOR 2
To let you in on you how cool Kirk is, he also directed episodes of Boardwalk Empire and Dexter. The dude loves to associate himself with great shows.
THOR 2, starring Chris Hemsworth once again as the god of thunder, is set to open on July 26th, 2013. Here’s to hoping Kirk would get the job. Cheers!
