WB just loves converting movies into 3D. We know CLASH OF THE TITANS went through the same process. Director Zack Snyder (300) has the upcoming CG 3D adaptation LEGENDS OF THE GUARDIANS to open later this year, the trailer looks promising and then his next movie, which is an original work, SUCKER PUNCH will be released in 3D. But get this…Via Superherohype, WB has converted a section of that movie to show Snyder how great the 3D conversion looked and voila! Snyder also confirmed that there’s a big possibility that 300 will be re-released into theaters in 3D in the near future…

“I saw maybe like a ten-minute section that they’d just done,”
“I haven’t seen the whole movie but they’re talking about doing the whole movie.”

Well, what do you think? If there’s a movie that would be fun to watch in 3D, don’t you think 300 would be it. Depth of field would make those 6 pack abs look even more insane!
And then Snyder briefly talked about follow up movie. Graphic novelist Frank Miller, previously said it will be called XERXES, and that he had finished the plot and was getting started on the artwork

“I’m waiting on Frank (Miller) for the sequel to ’300′ and there’s a really good chance that will be the thing we do,”
“He’s been working hard, so he’s supposed to show me something really soon; actually in the next few months, he’s going to show me something. There was a big discussion about what we would do for the sequel to ’300′ and I said, “I didn’t tell Frank what to write the first time, and I’m not telling him what to write this time,”
“I’ll take it and I’ll adapt it and make it into a movie and I’ll write a screenplay, but I want him to do whatever he thinks. I’m not going to say I’m 100%, like that’s it, but on the other hand, I’m pretty confident it’s going to be awesome. That would be the next thing and then I’m working on a sci-fi thing that Kurt and I are writing together, an original thing.”

Would you watch this scene in 3D? Ha!
