Do you remember all those years you’ve been waiting for this feature adaptation to get made, all those times when Shia LaBeouf was said to be attached to star but then came a point when he himself thought he was too old for the lead role, all those times finally led to this, that it’s finally happening, for real!
Deadline said that New Line has hired Dan Trachtenberg to direct the film. Trachtenberg made that popular fan-made short film, Portal: No Escape.
He will direct Y: THE LAST MAN from the script by Matthew Federman and Stephen Scaia
Based on the Vertigo graphic novel by Pia Guerra and Brian K. Vaughn, Y: THE LAST MAN is about lone survivor of a plague that wipes out all males on the planet, this.. plague simultaneously kills every mammal possessing a Y chromosome, including embryos, fertilized eggs, and even sperm.
