You Should’ve Given These 5 Movies A Fighting Chance

Sadly, there were decent to awesome movies in 2010 that didn’t get a fighting chance at box office. Audiences just generally thought it wasn’t worth watching for one reason or another. Some got persuaded by critics’ negative reviews while others were more interested in other films that happen to open that very same weekend.
Here’s my list of 5 movies that you’ve should’ve seen in theaters this year..

  • THE A-TEAM

I already pleaded this past summer, asking you to watch it, so since it’s already out on Blu-Ray and DVD this past week, I’m asking you now to watch it at the comfort of your own homes. Just have a blast and I’m keeping my fingers crossed that Fox would be gracious enough to greenlight a sequel.

  • SCOTT PILGRIM VS. THE WORLD

It had the misfortune of being released on the same weekend as 2 demographic movies, The Expendables (for male audience) and Eat Pray Love (for female audience)
If Avatar was called the game changer last year, I’d have to say Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World was the game changer this year, in terms of visual and its form of storytelling but I have to admit, you’re going to enjoy this if only you grew up either reading comic books or playing video games.

  • FLIPPED

Rob Reiner’s great coming-of-age drama since Stand By Me. One of this year’s most excellent stories that sadly nobody saw.
Trust me, you’re not going to regret watching this

  • SHE’S OUT OF MY LEAGUE

I watched this twice in the theater, that’s how awesome I thought this R-rated comedy was. Even if you don’t think Jay Baruchel is a funny actor, I think the themes will resonate well with those who enjoy stories about a geek who gets the hottie.

  • HOW DO YOU KNOW

Ok, I’m probably alone on this one but I’ll take my chances. This was, in my opinion, one of the most enjoyable love triangle rom-coms in recent years. It wasn’t too melodramatic, it was just the right dose of James L. Brooks’ humor.
