A 13-Year Old Actor Will Play Young Superman In SUPERGIRL Series

Those of us fans of #Supergirl series would know that in this show, Kara was set to earth to protect her cousin Kal-El but Kara’s ship got knocked off course into the phantom zone so when she arrived on earth, she’s still 13 years old, but her cousin, Kal-El already became Superman. So essentially, Kal-El is now the big mentor to Kara, we’ve seen episodes of Superman/Clark Kent saving Supergirl/Kara and even texting with her even though we never get to see his face.

Well, soon enough, we can put a face to the name because according to TVLine said that SUPERGIRL producers are looking to cast a 13-year old actor that has “future leading man” looks to play younger Kal-El in flashback scenes in order to establish the character’s bond with Kara.

This is odd for us fans because again, based on the show’s setting/timeline, 13-year old Clark/Kal-El would not yet met Kara. But hey, we’ll see how the show spins it.
By the way, I think Melissa Benoist has done a fantastic job so far as the girl of steel, catch her fly every Monday night on CBS.
